Pat Wyse Genuine Balanced Ride saddle 15″ $1300 SOLD – THANKS SCOTT!
This is a Monte Foreman Genuine Balanced Ride saddle that Pat Wyse (both a student of Monte Foreman’s and a teacher of Foreman’s techniques) had made by Master Saddle Maker, Vic Bennett, in Alberta, Canada. Pat has had John Fallis make Balanced Ride saddles for him for many years to sell at his horse and rider clinics. Because Pat is such a huge fan of the Balanced Ride saddles, he always carries them with him to offer to his clinic participants. In addition to having John Fallis make the Balanced Ride saddles for him, for a few years he had Vic Bennett – another phenomenal saddle maker like John Fallis – make them for him out of Canada. They are made with the same superb craftsmanship as the Fallis saddles and with the same superior quality leather. And they, of course, have the same patented features including the bulkless rigging, flat seat, and forward set stirrups that are adjustable at the Blevins buckle as well as at the tab at the tree. The only differences between the Vic Bennett Balanced Rides and the Fallis Balanced Rides are the tooling patterns and the price – the Vic Bennett models are significantly more expensive than the Fallis saddles.
This saddle is in excellent condition in every way except for some discoloration from something that spilled on it. It did not come out with regular cleaning and I don’t know if there is something the leather can be cleaned with that will take it out. But I do believe that with time and more use, it will be less apparent. Meanwhile, it is nothing that interferes with the functionality of the saddle in any way.
There are no rips, tears, dings or scratches. Nothing has been cut or altered. Tree is sound. It has a full set of long strings that are supple and in excellent condition and a well padded seat.
It also comes with latigos, doubled and stitched rear cinch and matching tooled, doubled and stitched, rear billets – one with a hoofpick holder.
The saddle has been cleaned and conditioned and is ready to ride. It weighs 28 lbs as shown. This is a VERY hard to find Balanced Ride saddle and is a steal at $1300.
